Do Apache+IIS tell databases that a client has closed their browser session so their query should be aborted? Databases?? For English class, we are writing a persuasive research essay, and I need two more sources. She doesnt want us to Google them, she wants us to get information off of databases. We have them at school, but I am at home, and I need them by next class time. (which is the day after tomorrow). So my question is: Does anyone know of a decent database? I might have to get an account somewhere, and that's okay, I just need something that it's simple to get an account and will give me decent information. My topic is that we should have more of a free period instead of our SIP time, which is like a 2-hour study hall for us. I think it would be more beneficial, so that's my question. Join databases? PHP help? Okay I have a database of people that work in certain cities. I have a second database with other (secondary) cities (near by) that they work in. What I want to do is go into the first database and see if there is no one listed for that city. If so, go into the other database and find those who have that city listed as a secondary city. How to identify unused databases? client company has around 25 sql servers . Each server has got 5 to 10 databases. Some of the databases are old. We don't know whether any applications using old databases or not. Is there any way we can find the unused databases in past 3 months or past 1 year using some Lastupdatedatetime or last action on sql server system tables using T-SQL scripts. If no application is accessing the database and no actions performed on that database from past 1 year then we need to delete that databases. How to identify unused databases? Hi, using ms access want to create a main database and "child" databases.? I would want the information from the child databases to update the main database(Using Ms Access). For example have all the databases in one folder, then when the child database is replaced with one having the current information, the main database gets automatically updated.The child databases would be used in standalone PC and from time to time information submitted to update the main database (also on a stand alone pc). Uploading mysql databases in cpanel? I did a full backup on my old host which stored all my html and mysql documents. The mysql files are stored as .sql files. On the new host, in the backup section of cpanel it has a spot to upload databases. I keep trying to upload these .sql files and it says "Restoring database" after it uploads and that's it. I reload my cpanel page and it never shows the databases I uploaded. Then I figured i might have to manually create the databases and THEN upload them, but it never uploads them. The database always appears as empty. The sql files are not empty. Any ideas? I have created the database and added the same user to it as it was in the old web site. Same username, password and database name. And it doesn't upload

Do Yahoo Groups Databases support foreign key relationships? I recently created a new Yahoo Group and saw a database option. Cool, I know lots about databases, and some of the information I'd like to provide to group members could be very nicely represented in a relational database. compare excel databases? I need a macro, or an excel aplication that will compare two databases in this way. Find the values or texts in a selected column from one database in the other, then copy some asociated values to the other in order to finally have two equal databases or at least the most similar posible. Sometimes the match will not be perfect but very similar, in such case, the aplication should ask the user what to do if it should copy the asociated values or or leave that registry (line) as unmatched. is there anyone out there that i could hire?

Question on hosts and databases....? Hello, I am a web designer and currently have a business package with 1&1 Internet Ltd. I have recently been asked to design a website with a blog, but have only recently noticed that I'm only allowed up to 2 databases with my package. This seems an awfully small number! As in..1 more blog/e-comms website and I've maxxed it out! Is this correct? The larger packages allow up to 8 and 15 respectively...but that still doesnt sound like a lot to me. If i made 15 blog sites then I will have maxxed out the maximum package!? That sounds crazy to me. Is it right? I've also considered swapping to a different host- one that's UK based such as NamesCo or one such as IWD who offer up to 50 databases on their largerst package which is nearly half the price of 1&1 Internet's largest package. But I'm worried about the difficulties of such an idea. Transferring domain names etc and also the possibility that other web hosts just may not be able to do everything 1&1 does. Any suggestions please? Thanks for the help. However, I don't know how to add more tables to a database. I don't even know where I can see the database. I just know the blog is using one.....?! It would be good if I could use the same database for multiple blogs/sites but is that a bit dodgy?

Linking tables in two MySQL databases? Hi, I have two MySQL databases, one forum and one directory and I need some help on how to link the Username and Password tables between the databases so that a person can sign up on database 1 and it automatically updates database 2 so they can login with the same details. Any help would be much appreciated. I've now created one database from the two but I still have two seperate tables feeding to the two programs, I'm quite new to MySQL so this is prob easy to do! I have table 1 called "dir_editors" with the fields "username" and "password" this is the table the data would be entered into. How do you link two mySQL databases together? My host has a limit on the amount of memory you can have in your mySQL databases. While I can have an unlimited amount, each database can only have 100 mb in it. I'm at 129 mb, now, and I'm getting Database Errors. My host (1and1.com) responded and said I had to link another mySQL database to the original, but said that they don't support the script, and could provide no further information. Querying data from online databases? I want to know how some programs can query data from online databases and search engines. Examples: Expedia - How do they go out and search all the different prices on all the different hotels on different websites? Weather Applets- If I wanted to make a weather applet to show the weather in different cities, I would have to have access to an online database where I can retrieve my data. Some job search engines (premiumjobsearch.com) gather job posting from various different websites and compiles then into one list. How do they do that? Wouldnt they need access to the various websites online database? I have this 3rd party program that enables you to log onto your brokerage account, make transactions and get quotes? Sure you have to provide you credentials, but how can they do they connect to get that data? How is it possible for these programs and websites to get access to this online data? Do they look at the querystring or source code of the webpage? So how you can you locate the RSS feeds?
